Evacuation orders were issued southwest of Deir al-Balah. People are displacing on foot, carrying their belongings, children, and disappointments on their shoulders, enduring the denial of those who deny and the helplessness of the incapable.
They carry the price of failure and denial, the enormity of injustice and tyranny, shattered and vanished dreams, and a hope that, whenever ignited, dissipates against the rock of reality. People, without exaggeration, carry all this and more on their shoulders during their displacement.
They walk with broken hearts, cursing the world and everyone and everything in it, holding onto “Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs,” and “He is sufficient as a Reckoner.”
