Comrades,

The reason for this left purge in the Labour Party is not only because the right-wing wants to secure their control in the party, but because of the continuity of Keir Starmer after next election. Even though, the Tories are not in good shape electorally now, yet Labour under Starmer cannot win next election.

Although, Labour would win some former red walls and part of Midlands, the next parliament is likely to be hung parliament, with Conservative still in charge. If there is any indication that Labour is likely to win next election, the reality now says otherwise because Labour should have gone far more than the Tories in voting intentions and polls.

Unfortunately, right-wing strategists in Labour Party are rattled that if Labour did not form next government, then the position of Starmer will be untenable. Starmer is plotting how to continue as Labour leader after next election. For the right-wing to successfully suppressed the left in the party, they would need at least 8 years to enthrone themselves, but if Starmer fails to win next election, he is unlikely to resign and there will be a leadership challenge.

Starmer and the right-wing are thinking and planning ahead. It is part of their agenda for the left to angrily leave the party. The new rule, that says new members cannot vote unless they have been members for six months, is part of the plot to secure Starmer’s position beyond the next election. The left should understand this and be prepared.
